Need vegetarian Easter recipe ideas for your family gathering? You’re in the right place. I always think of lots of hard boiled eggs, carrots, and spring time fruit and desserts.

**Let’s first start with a quick list about some things commonly found at Easter that many people do not realize are NOT vegetarian:

  • Marshmallows: contain gelatin.This includes the popular Easter candy PEEPSAlternative: Use marshmallow creme for some recipes, or vegan marshmallow options are available on amazon and some health food stores.
  • Jello: contains gelatin. Alternative: vegan jello like Bakol Jel.
  • WINES : Did you know some wines have additives or “fining agents” that aren’t vegetarian-friendly? Keep this in mind if this is important to you, and pay attention to labels. “Vegan wine” isn’t a given unless the bottle or company says so. (Hot tip: My favorite wine club is vegan-certified.)
