About Trial and Eater
I’m Kelly and I’d like to welcome you to my vegetarian food blog! This site is documenting my journey of learning to cook easy, approachable recipes (for one and for a crowd). The goal is to make it less intimidating for you to get in the kitchen and to help inspire you with new vegetarian dishes and flavors. You’ll find mostly healthy (and sometimes decadent) vegetarian recipes as well as tips and tricks I learn along the way.
Growing up I much preferred baking, and I was not much of a cook. When I graduated college, I had a hard time cooking for just myself and inspiring myself to try new recipes. I didn’t know the first thing about cooking! My mother, being the creative cook of the family, would always say “It’s just trial and error.” So, that’s how Trial and Eater was eventually born.
About the Author
I have a background in accounting and finance, and used to work as an analyst and actuary at health insurance companies and even a large tech company. I left the corporate world in 2015 to complete Duke Integrative Medicine’s Integrative Health Coach Professional training and make healthy living (and eating) my career, in addition to working on this site and photography.
Where to Start
New here? You might want to start with some of my most popular recipes, maybe the apple nachos. Vegan? Here’s the list of those recipes. Or read some of the highlights of things I’ve learned along the way.
Make sure you sign up to get new recipes in your email so you don’t miss any posts!
